Dr. Zachary Glantz grew up in Sarasota, Florida. He moved to Boston to attend Boston University, where he majored in Evolution and Ecology. Like Dr. Shafer, he also studied abroad in Ecuador. While in Boston, Zack gained experience working at two different small animal hospitals and at the New England Aquarium with the penguins. He received his VMD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2012 and has been practicing small animal medicine in Philadelphia ever since. In his seven years of full-time practice at a South Philadelphia small animal hospital, he developed particular interests in behavior, nutrition, and dermatology. Zack lives in Fishtown with his husband and two cats (Bernie and Hazel). An avid explorer of his adopted hometown, you’re likely to find him zipping around Philly on an Indego bike or checking out the new spots that seem to open weekly in his neighborhood. He has also been known to make cameo appearances at Boozy Broadway, his husband’s recurring cabaret show.
