Dr. Jonathan Ball
Dr Jonathan Ball was studying to be a medical doctor when he rescued an abused and neglected pitbull named Eli. Eli had a number of health and behavioral issues that required veterinary care, introducing Dr. Ball to a different discipline and career course.
Eli went on to earn his Canine Good Citizen certification, therapy dog certification and Trick Dog title, and Dr. Ball went on to the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2020 with the Elizabeth Bales Small Animal Behavior and Welfare Award.
The Maryland native, a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, enjoys building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with clients, “with the shared goal of providing better understanding and care for their pets.” His professional interests include animal behavior, soft tissue surgery and dentistry.
Before and while attending veterinary school, he worked as a certified dog trainer, which is how he met his wife Rachel, also a veterinarian.
They have two dogs, Ghost Face, a white shepherd, and Rupert Giles, a chow/golden retriever mix.
