Dr. Beth Bukowski

Giving people the information they need to keep their pets healthy and working through the diagnostic process are two of Dr. Beth Bukowski’s favorite parts of being a veterinarian.

Also, puppies.

A 1994 graduate of the University of Washington (with a year spent studying abroad in Montpellier, France), she studied philosophy and journalism and  worked for a newspaper based in Brussels, Hong Kong and New York after graduation.

The Seattle native turned in her reporter’s notebook for veterinary school at the University of California, Davis, graduating in 2008. She then completed an additional year of training as an intern at an emergency and specialty hospital in New Jersey.

Dr. Bukowski is Fear Free certified and is devoted to minimizing stress for pets during their visits. Her professional interests include emergency medicine, pain management and dentistry.

Prior to becoming a vet, she volunteered with therapeutic horseback riding programs for youngsters in Hong Kong and New York.

Away from the office, she enjoys hiking, baking, glassblowing and hanging out with Yuri, her terrier mix. She also is a self-described “science fiction nerd.“
